Fire Engines have always been a part of local parades along F Street. This engine is from the California Department of Civil Defense. The building shown is at F and Green Streets. It was moved and is now the home of Fiddler’s Crossing on Robinson and F Streets.

Luther Girado will be telling traditional Kawaiisu stories on May 20 at the BeeKay Theatre.

Both “The Handbook of the Kawaiisu” and “Tehachapi, The Formative Years / The Long Road to Tehachapi” are available in the Tehachapi Museum gift shop.

Our Research Library has been collecting old “Tomahawk” annuals for many years. Our collection is missing 1936, 1942, 1949, 1951, 1954, 1956, 1959, 1962 to 1966, 1977, 1979 to 1997, and 1999 to present. If you have an old “Tomahawk” annual that you would like to donate to our collection please contact us at 661-822-8152.
